The "ET Talent Hunt for Sales Champs" seeks to find, scientifically assess, acknowledge, and reward exceptional sales professionals, as well as the top "Emerging Sales Professionals" who are eager to enter the exciting and competitive world of sales. With a focus on ethical, clever, and professional selling as well as chasing every lead; commit to growing their talent; laugh in the face of adversity; and take on every obstacle with the desire to win in the field, sales professionals are directly contributing to the country's economic progress. Those who want to start a career in sales can also take advantage of this fantastic once-in-a-lifetime chance.

The professional's name, score, photo, and information will be published in EmployabilityTests.com for each category of Champ "TOP 100" to honor their great talent. Prospective employers may then immediately contact them, recruit them, and integrate them into their sales team!

Shortlisting Process

Selection Criteria

The “ET Talent Hunt” has distinguished itself by its robust selection process, with around 10 to 12 Sales Heads or business heads or CEOs or COOs as well as HR Heads of various companies participating as jury members. They ensure credibility, transparency and a fair process of selection across all three rigorous rounds. These experts representing companies and communities are carefully nominated to select the best Sales talent. To make sure that every entry gets a fair chance, there are three rounds of selection.

Entry Fee:

This program is absolutely free! The objective is to encourage existing Sales Professionals or those who are aspiring to initiate their career in sales. Hence, there is no direct or indirect fees to participate in this Talent Hunt.

Two online tests will be conducted, in which the participants will be evaluated on the following areas
Functional Test: Timing- 30mins
a. Sales Mindset
b. Sales Techniques
c. PJP/ Route plan and Productivity
d. Basic Sales Aptitude
e. Customer Handling

Psychometric Test: Timing- 20mins
This would help to gauge the future performance of a participants and hopefully improve retention by making successful hiring decisions by HR Heads. The psychometric test is an assessment over a participant’s character, strengths, weaknesses and working style.

The jury here will be focusing into the measuring level of skill required to successfully sell to customers in a Field Sales environment.

Jury will score entries for entered category based on the following judging criteria:
1. Knowledge of products/service
2. Field sales techniques
3. KPI’s as set by organization and how these were exceeded
4. Challenges and coping out to closing sales
5. Evidence of cross-selling / Up-selling
6. Customer Queries resolution
7. Details of post-sales responsibilities – where appropriate
8. Customer testimonials – where appropriate
9. Team Leader testimonial
10. Commitment to training and improving business knowledge
11. Contribution to others in the team
12. Examples of Field Sales Champion behaviour / success

Goals we intend to reach with this round:
1. Evaluate participant’s personality, interest, drive, depth of knowledge, skills, competencies, etc.
2. Know a participant’s core competencies and area of improvement,
3. A participant’s capability to handle the role,
4. His/her learning skills
5. Complex problem-solving skills
6. His/her potential to develop himself/herself and eventually others too
7. To check his/her background, and to understand if a participant’s a right fit for the role
8. His/her demonstrated persuasion skills
9. His/her overall behavior

Champs Categories

Based on your experience & eligibility, you can select from the following 3 categories of Champs to apply.

Shining Star Sales Champ

  • Minimum 8 and maximum of 20 years of direct sales experience with consumers. Professionals upto the age of 40 years as on June 30, 2021 can apply. Working with any of the company involved in selling of consumer products or FMCG or Consumer Durables or in service industry viz. banking, insurance, hotel, tourism, media, etc. Demonstrates a customer-focused approach with supporting documentation Participants must have atleast successfully achieved a Certificate course in any of the educational stream.

Rising Star Sales Champ

  • Minimum 5+ and maximum of 7 years of direct sales experience with consumers Professionals upto the age of 30 years as on June 30, 2021 can apply. Working with any of the company involved in selling of consumer products or FMCG or Consumer Durables or in service industry viz., banking, insurance, hotel, tourism, media, etc. Demonstrates a customer-focused approach with supporting documentation Participants must have atleast successfully achieved a Certificate course in any of the educational stream.

  • Zero to 4 year of direct sales experience with consumers. Aspirer upto the age of 25 years as on June 30, 2021 can apply. Aspiring or working with any of the company involved in selling of consumer products or FMCG or Consumer Durables or in service industry viz., banking, insurance, hotel, tourism, media, etc. Participants must have atleast successfully achieved a Certificate course in any of the educational stream or in final year of completion.
